The Gallux blockchain utilizes a hybrid technology stack that combines elements of both Proof of Stake (PoS) and Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC). This hybrid approach is designed to leverage the strengths of each technology to enhance scalability, security, and interoperability within the ecosystem.
Gallux employs a Proof of Stake consensus mechanism to secure and validate transactions on the network. In a PoS system, validators are chosen to create new blocks and validate transactions based on the number of tokens they hold and are willing to "stake" as collateral. This consensus model reduces the energy consumption associated with traditional Proof of Work (PoW) systems and allows for more efficient block generation.
Gallux is integrated with Inter-Blockchain Communication (IBC) protocols, inspired by the Cosmos Network, to enable cross-chain communication and interoperability. IBC allows Gallux to interact and exchange data with other blockchain networks that also support IBC, expanding the possibilities for decentralized applications (dApps) and cross-chain asset transfers.
In addition to PoS and IBC integration, Gallux incorporates Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) compatibility. This feature allows developers to easily port and deploy smart contracts from the Ethereum ecosystem directly onto the Gallux blockchain. This compatibility simplifies the development process for dApps, enabling them to seamlessly run on Gallux while enjoying the benefits of its PoS consensus and IBC features.
The Beta Chain, also known as the Testnet or Development Network, is a testing environment used by the Gallux project to experiment, refine, and optimize new features and updates before deploying them to the Mainnet. It is an essential component of our development process, allowing us to assess performance, security, and functionality in a controlled environment before rolling out changes to the live network.
By combining Proof of Stake, Inter-Blockchain Communication, and Ethereum EVM compatibility, Gallux aims to create a highly scalable, secure, and interconnected blockchain ecosystem.
